DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

The Immunizations Clinic is able to accept individuals on a walk-in basis. However, we cannot estimate wait times. Please call 095-56-2273 to schedule an appointment for any vaccination or record review to guarantee a preferred time.

CAN MY BABY GET THEIR FLU SHOT?

The influenza vaccine arrives in the late September, early October every year. Once the flu shots are available to patients, they can be given to individuals 6 months and older. If it’s your child’s first time receiving the vaccination, they will need to have a 2nd dose administered at least 4 weeks after the first within the same flu season.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Documentation is an important part of your visit so that you receive the correct immunizations at the correct time. Any valid form of immunization history is accepted. If you have a shot card, please bring it with you and we will be more than happy to update it for you. Please bring any school, sports, or work forms that need to be filled out same day.
If your child is in need of a catch-up immunization schedule, Immunizations reserves the right to review the record for 24 hours and have you return at a later date and time.

WHEN WILL I NEED MY NEXT SHOTS?

After receiving service in the clinic, you will always be told when to return. Active Duty have a schedule to follow that remains constant during their service. Command sponsored dependents and school-aged children have simple requirements that can be provided to you in writing from the clinic.

WHEN WILL MY PPD BE READ?

All PPD's are read within 48-72 hours as per BUMEDINST 6224.8. It must be read in person by Immunizations staff for documentation accuracy and consistency (unless otherwise arranged).
PPDs will not be place on Thursdays, or any days where they cannot be read within 48-72 hours.

HOW DO I GET A NEW "SHOT CARD?"

We ask you to allow 7-10 days to process this request and we will call you when it is complete.

CAN I JUST HAVE SOMEONE LOOK AT MY CHILD’S RECORD?

Each patient's record is screened for completion and accuracy. With this in mind, it is important that the corpsman screening records be allowed to do so. Please do your best to save your questions until you are called so that each patient can be given the full attention they deserve, and the risk of mistakes reduced.

CAN I HAVE A FRIEND BRING IN MY CHILD?

In the event you do not have the ability to provide care for your child due to absence, you can obtain an "IN LOCO PARENTIS" or "Power of Attorney" in the name of the child for a guardian. This documentation must be presented at time of service, and should be put into the medical record as well.
